Individual Courses in Early Childhood
We offer Individual Courses and Certificate Programs in Early Childhood Development,
Learning, Education and Care.
All Certificate Programs are offered via distance education with a required on site seminar/practicum component which will be arranged in the student’s community if a qualified instructor is available.

How it works
Students can register for courses on the 1st day of each month (except August and September). Once students have sent in their Student Enrolment Agreement and Contract together with the course payment, a distance course package will be sent via email attachment on the 1st of the month. The package contains unit commentaries, journal article
readings and thought questions for each unit.

Program Recognized for Certification in Alberta
Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute has been successfully registered with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (BC) since 1989. In April 2001 Alberta Children's Services reviewed our program and advised us that coursework from Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute is recognized for individuals pursuing certification in the child care profession in Alberta. more about Pacific Rim
