Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute, established in 1989, is
an accredited private career training institution and, as such, works
within the guidelines established by the Government of British Columbia, and the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia.
Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute is committed to the belief
that children should have an opportunity to participate in quality
child care programs with trained staff.
To meet this objective, training programs have been developed to
prepare students to work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and
children with special needs.
Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute is able to provide a flexible
approach to adult education. Programs can be individually designed
with community partners to meet the needs of students. Courses have
flexible start dates and modes of delivery. Students make use of
videos, print material, email communication, and telephone contact.
Pacific Rim Early Childhood Program content is recognized by Canadian and US licensing authorities including the Council for Professional Recognition (Child Development Association credential) and the National Child Care Association (Certified Child Care Professional credential).
Faculty and Management have a combination of
training and experience including Doctorate, Masters and Bachelors
degrees and majors in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood
Education certificates and many years of experience in program development,
evaluation and management, classroom lecturing, practicum supervision
and government management experience in this field.
