Description

This course focuses on skills needed to guide young children positively in a child care setting.

Objectives

  • To assist students to develop a positive approach to guidance and discipline in a child care setting.
  • To assist students to develop the communication skills necessary to work with children in a group setting.
  • To provide students with an understanding of the way in which the environment, the routines and the curriculum of the child care setting contribute to children's behaviour.
