How do I get a license to practice in BC?

Upon completion of your 11 courses in the basic ECE program, you will receive a transcript which satisfies one of the licensing requirements. A transcript will be sent to the ECE registry on your behalf.
The Ministry of Children and Family Development also requires that you submit the following directly to them:
A letter of reference, signed by a licensed early childhood educator, confirming that you have completed at least 500 hours of satisfactory work in a licensed child care facility.
A copy of your valid first aid certificate from an approved first aid course.
Your current address and phone number.
Proof of name change if your current name is different from the name on your diploma or transcript.
