Description

Students will learn how children grow and develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. There will be an emphasis on needs at any given age and stage and strategies on how these needs can best be met.

Objectives

  • To provide the student with background in research and theories related to child growth and development.
  • To develop the student's skill in observing and recording behaviours of young children.
  • To develop a knowledge of developmental patterns in child growth such as language development and concept formation.
