This course utilizes the “North American Edition” and "Child Development Primer" section of the Science of Early Childhood Development (SECD) website. Canadian early childhood professionals created the SECD website as a “living textbook,” constantly evolving based on current practices and research. This online resource is split into sections and topics, much like a hardcopy textbook would be. The website is a rich resource of relevant, current and reputable academic papers and articles, in-depth subject exploration, expert interviews, videos of English and French-Canadian classrooms and educators, videos of international classrooms and educators, and interactive quizzes and games. The content will help you reinforce and expand on course content and in many cases, be required to directly answer assignment questions.
