Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute is a Recognized Early Childhood Training Institution in British Columbia. The Ministry of Children and Family Development ECE Registry issues provincial certification in British Columbia.

The Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) was approved by federal, provincial, and territorial governments with the intent to remove barriers to the movement of workers, goods, services and capital. Under AIT, child care professionals that have been assessed in their province may transfer that certificate or license to any other region of Canada.

The Province of British Columbia has provided an equivalency chart outlining the Federal-Provincial Agreement on Internal Trade Certification Equivalencies from Province to Province. While this information is provided, it is always best to check with the certification or licensing authority in the province where you intend to practise to ensure you are aware of their most current out-of-province qualification requirements.

Most students utilize AIT for labour mobility by applying for or renewing their BC certification (BC ECE Registry) using credentials obtained from Pacific Rim ECI, and then submit that BC certification with their application to another provincial regulatory body.

As of April 2021, BC, AB, SK, MB, YT, ON, NL, NS, and PEI participate in the AIT for labour mobility.
