How do I apply for Student Loans?

Return to FAQ index

IMPORTANT: Student Loan Spaces are currently full for this year.

Students interested in a student loan will be assessed by Pacific Rim's Financial Aid Officer for suitability. There are two options, full-time or part-time loan studies loan status.

If you are applying for a full-time student loan you will need to be a full-time student in the Basic ECE certificate program. This means you complete in 41 weeks. Loans are not available for post-basic programs at this time. During this time you will not be allowed to work more than 32 hours a week so you can commit to completing your studies full time. You will also be required to submit weekly assignments to show that you are consistently working on the coursework. Students who do not submit assignments weekly or work too many hours a week are no longer eligible for full-time status and are withdrawn from the loan program.

If you are interested in a student loan, please contact the administrator for more information: admissions@earlychildhoodeducator.com.

Applicants will be asked to complete a student loan package including a contract, timetable, budget and list of obligations associated with a full-time student loan. The obligations will outline several restrictions for students who are paying for the program through Student Loans. Similar restrictions and obligations also apply to part-time loans.
